A graduate of Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Fine Arts, multidisciplinary artist Talha Demiral resides in Izmir. Though he puts painting at the core of his art, Demiral integrates drawing with other techniques and materials, including earth, leaves and concrete, to create drama and irony. Mostly basing his work on the photographs he takes, the artist aims to raise awareness on the need to re-establish the human-nature bond that has been broken under the global capitalist order. Demiral, who has participated as an artist-in-residence in Izmir-based The Letter Atelier in 2023, has showcased his works in solo and collective exhibitions, including his solo “Far Exhibition” in 2017 and “E-C-O-E-X-I-S-T” in 2022.
