Thessaloniki-born Stratis Tavlaridis currently lives and works in Athens. The artist graduated from the School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His works, which include perforated installations made of paper, are inspired by everyday life. Tavlaridis, who loves geometric patterns, flowing designs and paper-cutting, transforms ordinary items into ethereal manifestations of themselves. His solo exhibitions include the 2022 “Come Out“ Pop Up Solo Exhibition at his studio (Athens, 2022), “Just Art” at Kassandrinos law office, (Athens, 2014) and “Tomb-womb” at the Alatza Imaret, (Thessaloniki, 2013). His works were displayed in “Let Every River Envy Our Mouths”, MOMus Experimental Center for the Arts, (Thessaloniki, 2023), ​”Rooms 2020” at Kappatos Gallery (Athens, 2020), “Text me paper fashion” at the Hellenic Centre (London, 2018) and “Thessaloniki of the Painters – Thessaloniki of the Poets” at the Zappeion School (Istanbul, 2014)
