Erdem Colak is a multidisciplinary artist and academic. He received his PhD degrees from the School of Cultural Analysesat the University of Amsterdam and the Institute of Social Sciences at Ankara University. He has opened two solo shows so far (OKO Cultural Melting Point-Amsterdam (2021) and Respublika – Ankara (2022)), and his works have been shown in many art spaces including Museo Franklin Rawson (San Juan) and MuseoMAR (Buenos Aires) as part of Bienalsur 2021, Mamut Art Project (Istanbul), NoMan’s Art Gallery (Amsterdam), Tini Mini Room (Dordrecht), Vox-Pop (Amsterdam)and Galerie Mia Joosten (Amsterdam). He is currently a lecturer at Middle East Technical University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration and continues his artistic productions in his studio in Ankara.
