Can Büyükberber

Visual artist with a background in physics and design, Can Büyükberber works on immersive audiovisual experiences that blur the boundaries between physical and digital spaces. Experimenting with virtual/ augmented reality, projection mapping, geodesic domes, large-scale displays, and digital fabrication, Büyükberber often focuses on human perception, exploring new methods for non-linear narratives, geometrical order, synergetics, and emergent forms. The artist received his master’s degree in art and technology from the San Francisco Art Institute as a Fulbright Scholar. He has been selected to Autodesk Pier 9 (San Francisco, 2017) and Adobe AR (San Francisco, 2018) artist residencies. Büyükberber’s audiovisual works have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and media art festivals around the world from Montreal to Tokyo, including “Wired World” in Artemis Gallery (Lisbon, 2023) and the “Metafold” series in Scope (Miami Beach, 2023) in Tersane (Istanbul, 2022) and in Art Lab (Dubai, 2020).
