Bawer Doğanay continues his works in Mardin, a multicultural historical city by the Tigris River. The artist graduated from Mardin Artuklu University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and then received his master’s degree from Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Fine Arts in Izmir. Doğanay uses a rich color palette to portray scenes from everyday life, seeking to unveil beauty in the simplicity of ordinary events and places. His paintings, which have both primitive and contemporary design elements, have been exhibited at BASE (Istanbul, 2018 and 2020), “An Artist A Notebook” exhibition at Labirent Sanat (Istanbul, 2021) and Akaretler Artweeks (Istanbul, 2022).
